Berkeley Publisher version 4.10
Introducing new ways to optimize your productivity
Berkeley Publisher 4.10 is now available for downloading. Your feedback has once again been groundbreaking in the further development of our software.
We will be highlighting some of our biggest changes down below, so keep reading!

Excel as output
By now you should be familiar to the possibility of publishing your models and allow to users to export the acquired information into a Word- or Powerpoint document. In addition to the former two, we now have also added Excel as a possible output document.
Downloading files using linklabels or information sources
Up until release 4.9 linklabels and information sources were limited to hyperlinks towards paths or webpages. Starting from release 4.10 it is possible to also directly link documents to linklabels or informationsources.
Your selected file(s) will be sent alongside the publishing of your model, resulting in the user having an easy acces to any documents you wish them to have access to.

Reusing user-uploaded images
A fair chunk of the Berkeley users are fond of working with conditional images. We have seen the most creative examples of implementing said feature.
Up until release 4.10 your images had to be present in your database to call upon them.
To help our users get even more creative, we have added the option of reusing images the user of the model uploads. A placeholder image can be placed into your output document, which is replaceable by the uploaded image.
Additionally, these uploaded images may be restricted to certain conditions like maximum size or certain filetypes.
Prefill rows in a grid
It has been possible to add new rows within a grid. These rows would appear empty underneath the existing grid. We had already added the option for an auto increment, however, we received requests to further develop this functionality.
Therefore it is now possible to prefill the entire row with information when the user adds a new row. This creates the possibility to prefill certain checkboxes and add automated timestamps for example.
