Luris connects academics of Leiden University and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) with the market and society at large, in order to make the most of their scientific knowledge. Luris is developing models for the use of several documents regarding the legal aspects of the scientific process, so scientists can focus on the matter at hand. In order to achieve this goal, Luris made decision trees that scientists can use to generate legal documents such a: a non-disclosure contract, confidentially agreement, invention disclosure form or a material transfer agreement regarding the purchase of laboratory mice (or other scientific equipment) and securing their inventions or treatment methods. Scientists can easily create these documents without worry about the legal details of such documents.
